The Aberdeen Association of Royal Warrant Holders, expresses its deep sadness, and that of its Members, on the death of Her Majesty The Queen.

The Aberdeen Association of Royal Warrant Holders came into being in 1871, some twenty three years after Queen Victoria first came to Aberdeenshire.  It is one of five Regional Associations of the parent Association situated in London.

Today, the area served by the Aberdeen Association, which has approximately fifty members, has extended to include Speyside, Angus and North Perthshire.

The Association continues to maintain and value the close links which it has with the Royal Household at Balmoral and with the Resident Factor on the Balmoral Estate.

BALMORAL DISPLAY

In the Carriage Hall Exhibition at Balmoral you can view the display cabinet designed for The Aberdeen Association of Royal Warrant Holders.

This display case was inaugurated in the presence of Her Royal Highness, Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother and details the history of the Association and its relationship with the Estate.

The cabinet is made of local poplar wood and styled to reflect the architecture of Balmoral Castle where it is on public display. The display has recently been extensively refurbished and brought up to date, displaying details of the current membership of the Aberdeen Association of Royal Warrant Holders.

The display can be seen when the grounds, gardens and exhibitions at Balmoral Estates are open to the public during April, May, June and July each year.
